Yes, folx are trappin' below the Mason-Dixon line, in other words, "A Down South Trap." In general, this blog deals with the philosophy of trappin'. When you think of trappin' in the South, it's The Trap Queen meets The Southern Belle.....interesting. Rasheeda Frost is a perfect example. She beautiful and her appearance is always fashionable and polished from head to toe. Not only is she a southern lady, she is a trapped out Boss Chick. She and her hubby Kirk Frost own a restaurant FROST Bistro and Bar and at least 2 boutiques.
It may not be easy being a Southern belle, but being a Trap Queen is hardcore. When you are trappin' in the south, you have to be both. First I have to talk about a book that I'm currently reading by ATL Real Housewife, Phedra Parks. "Secrets of the Southern Belle; How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment." If you are in the south, in a country setting and your kinda bored, get this book and study it. It will bless you.
The revelation the I'm having while reading this book is, that you can trap with the knowledge she's bringing. Granted, I'm from the Midwest, and that where my perspective is from but there is an antebellum aesthetic that lends itself to trap life in the south. Rasheeda Frost, being the Southern Belle, that she is, has embraced Camille Rose Naturals as a favorite hair brand.
This brand is relatively new and the products listed in the picture above, those two oils grew my 4c hair personally. They work. This is one of the new HIGH hair brands for black women in the vain of Madame C.J. Walker. This means, these products are EXCELLENT and will grow your hair if you use them consistently.
If you are trapping in the south and want to use better hair products, try Camille Rose Naturals because they have a "yellow rose of Texas", themed Cameo logo on the packaging and will have a "Southern Belle" aesthetic on your dresser or in the cabinet.
It's expected for a woman to have pearls in the south. However, to differentiate yourself as a trap queen, you want your pearls to drip, like this stainless steel customized pearl nameplate pearl necklace.
In her book, Phaedra Parks describes southern style as feminine and conservative. Trap life can be hardcore so add edge to a floral dress with ankle boots and sunglasses. In warmer weather, breezy floral peasant tops must be worn with cut off denim shorts .... and of course, ankle boots.
Pat McGrath just released a Bridgeton inspired makeup collection in the most beautiful packaging. These products are almost worth it to buy to put on the dresser next to the Camille Rose Naturals bottles. But to be practical, the "Belle of Ball" is a suggested eye-shadow palette that has a glittery gold that is flattering on black skin.

There's no way for a woman from the south to get away from southern hospitality. You may be judged on how well you can entertain and serve a Sunday dinner. If you are trappin' and people are trying to look down on you, all you need to do is buy everything Pioneer Woman for your kitchen and dining room. It's floral. It's beautiful and it's from Walmart. And that's the game...
