Hannah Bronfman a well known New York City D.J. wrote a book. I happened to pick up a copy at City Trends. "Do What Feels Good: Recipes, Remedies and Routines to Treat Your Body Right". It's currently on sale at Amazon for $ 15.39. I'm so glad to have this book because it is the perfect resource for herbal remedies and health supplements. People seemed to think that people in the hood are so backwards that they never had a latte or never ate kale. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hannah+bronfman&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Call me old skool but I DO believe in the food pyramid and the Golden Arches. Everybody is different and have unique nutritional needs. She even has a chapter titled, "Listen to Your Body. For me personally, the supplements in her book work the best with my regular diet. She even encourages you to, "...make sure to enjoy a burger once in a while"(page 3)

There is so much pressure to eat healthy and this book is written for the Trap Queen. The herbal remedies and beauty tonics are all a sister needs to be an expert. I say this is a resource you can trust because she kept her looks after running the streets 24 hours a day as a D.J. She understands how the grind can wear you down. Even if you tried only one recipe at a time, you will be happy with the results. You want this on your book shelf and you want read it when you are feeling "blah."

One more thing I want to say about this book in regards to the books that came from the streets of New York. In Sistah Souljah's book "The Coldest Winter Ever." one of her characters infamously quoted that, "Beauty is full time job!" If you are scratching your head and saying, "What does that mean?" Hannah's book gives your some insight. Definitely a book you want to study in the privacy and comfort of home.
