The next time he goes to the corner store to get a 211, ask him to get you a can of Seagram's Jamaican Me Happy. Actually, the pink can is really cute and it contains guava, a Jamaican fruit.

I don't do a lot of bitter black woman complaining on this blog. But when I read that guava was a widespread Jamaican fruit, something about how its not associated with the beauty and femininity of Jamaican women, bothers me. Guava is pink and juicy with a forbidden fruit quality.
FRESH OIL!
So its time see Jamaican women from a more exotic perspective. Guava has got to be added to the Jamaican beauty ritual as something desirable. A great place to start is with hair. For those of you who like to mix your own personal hair oil formulas, try making a combination of guava oil and Hollywood's Jamaican black castor oil ... and spread the word ... and message this into your scalp and your daughter's scalp.
Evidently, Cantu products grew the woman's hair in the picture below. At least according to her hair regimen. The recommended Cantu product is the Guava Scalp Relief Shampoo from their Guava and Ginger collection.

Guava as a beauty product wasn't lost on Canadian born cookbook author Aeysha Curry. She recently launched an irie inspired skincare line with papaya and guava extracts; SWEET JULY SKIN The products come across as high-end but the accessories are mother earth friendly. She has reusable toner pads ... genius
If you bought the Gotham indoor smokeless grill and haven't used it in a while, Aeysha has another wonderful chicken recipe, Sweet and Smokey Chicken Breast.
