Slow Cooker Chicken in Red Wind Barbeque Sauce

Slow Cooker Chicken in Red Wine Barbeque Sauce

• 6-8 chicken breast cut in bite-size pieces

• 1 cup red wine, Merlot or Pinot Noir

• 1/2 cup red wine vinegar

• 6 oz can tomato paste

• can of cream of chicken soup

• 2 tbsp of black treacle or 1 tbsp each of molasses and honey

• 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar

• 1 tbsp of mustard

• 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

• 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

• 1 1/2 tsp onion powder

• 1/4 - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

• 1/8 tsp allspice

Directions:

Mix all ingredients into slow cooker. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours. Serve over rice.
