These women are from the all girls HBCU Spelman College. They are all wearing Ralph Lauren. As a designer, Lauren believes that the black experience is weaved into the fabric of the American Dream.

This is a new moment in fashion history as he collaborated with both Morehouse and Spelman colleges with a limited edition collection of "black and preppy" fashion.
Even if you didn't attend an HBCU (historically black college or university) and love your alma mater, you can still rock an iconic "press n curl". This Ralph Lauren collaboration made the "press n curl" a new bougie and preppy look. It's the one hairstyle it's ok to perfect.

3 things you need to perfect the "press n curl."

1. Good hair products. Primarily a good deep conditioner. Thick, emollient deep conditioners actually work better when you use heat.

2. A good flat iron. Look for a flat iron with titanium or tourmaline plates that goes up to at least 450 degrees. It's ok to turn the flat iron all the way up.

3. Good old fashion pressing oil. This is the secret. Pressing oil has always been the secret to the press n curl.
Even if you've embraced farmhouse living, you can still do dinner Ralph Lauren style.
