Some people may ask the question, "is a hair spa like this even necessary?" According to Kenya Moore, absolutely. As a black woman who won the title, Miss USA in 1993, Kenya understands the importance of taking pride in your hair. For black women, hair is a political issue and it seems like the easiest thing to do is to finally end up with a fade or a TWA.

Women like Kenya Moore, who used her luscious real hair as marketing for her haircare line Kenya Moore Haircare, challenges the idea that wanting long hair is a form of self hatred for black women. Her philosophy is, "if you want long hair, get it!" Her haircare line consists of products that stimulate growth and length retention when use consistently.

It's ok to want long hair, is the message we get from the Kenya Moore Brand. Her spa is now recently opened, and a visit consists of the royal treatment. The glass of champagne is probably needed during the scalp analysis which sounds like going to another doctor for a second opinion. The problem is, no matter what state the hair is, clients may want to walk out the spa with hair, just like hers.

Afro-textured hair is a psychosis for black women that starts during childhood. And it takes a lifetime to figure out that no matter how you choose the wear your hair, it's high maintenance, even the repeated trips to the barber for that fade. Maybe the spa treatment you get at Kenya Moore's Hair Spa is a healthier perspective on the amount of care and self love it takes to maintain black hair.
