Where Do Black Women Fit In?

A lot of times, black woman are alienated from what's going on in the larger community. Usually, this is due to cultural differences. With what's going on now, it's important to recognize the movie "Daughters of the Dust" as not only a visual masterpiece, but as a reference point for black women while trying to understand current trends. What's to be understood about embracing current trends is that a black woman must still go through the process of being black to get there.
